Journal of Small & Emerging Business Law
Posted by Gordon Smith

A new ranking of law journals was just published by Washington & Lee School of Law. I was pleased to see the success of the Journal of Small & Emerging Business Law (JSEBL), which I had a hand in founding while at Lewis & Clark Law School. The rankings measure citations from 1996-2003, but JSEBL (or "Jezebel," as it is affectionately known) published its first issue in 1997. Still, it is the 12th most cited journal in corporate and business law (out of 60 or so total). It is the 120th most cited specialty journal (of 644 total), and if it had another year under its belt, it would easily crack the Top 100. Nice job, Jezebel!
