My interactions with technology tend to go in spurts, and I have been on a big upgrade spree lately. Emboldened by my successful conversion to Verizon earlier this week, I finally converted my home telephone service to Vonage. I wasn't able to retain my existing telephone number, but otherwise this was about as painless as I could have imagined. I called Vonage on Wednesday and received a new router in the mail today. I hooked it up to my DSL modem and popped in the installation CD ... less than an hour and I had new telephone service with more features (including long distance) at a cheaper price than my old service. Now I am wondering why I waited so long to do this.
