You don't have to hang around here long to know that I am a fan of many Google products, but a skeptic on Google's abilty to retain its market share for search. (See here for my last post on Google's Competition.) Here is another data point to consider: Yahoo! Mindset.
Take a look at Yahoo's Press Release: "What is Mindset? A new twist on search that uses machine learning technology to give you a choice: View Yahoo! Search results sorted according to whether they are more commercial or more informational (i.e., from academic, non-commercial, or research-oriented sources)." (Look here for more from Yahoo!)
The user adjusts Mindset by using a slider:

By the way, Yahoo! Search appears to me to be just as good -- perhaps better -- than Google in almost every feature. Search Engine Watch agrees:
Last year saw Yahoo roll out its own web search technology that our gut feeling says is on parity with Google. The fact that Yahoo hasn't lost tons of users despite switching away from using Google's results backs up our feeling. The relevancy is clearly satisfying millions.
Although I tend to default to Google for search, Yahoo! will win me over by adding improvements like Mindset.
