Lewis & Clark Law School is hosting a conference under the title, "Behavioral Analysis of Corporate Law: Instruction or Distraction?" I love the subtitle. It reminds me of the ESPN segment, "Contender or Pretender."
The conference is being organized, in part, by Geoff Manne, whose father (Henry) pioneered economic analysis of corporate law. The organizers ask whether behavioral analysis of corporate law has proved instructive or "is it merely a distraction from the still-reigning traditional paradigm?" This is an easy question for me. Just read Don Langevoort's articles or this article by Steve Choi and Adam Pritchard, if you have any doubt.
