Blogging Cognitive Dissonance?

In the same week that U of C Law School began its faculty blog, the political science faculty denied tenure to one of its most famous bloggers. Daniel Drezner describes the experience in a very classy way.
Should the untenured among us (including me!) take note?
(Note: I have altered the post because I had mistakenly assumed that Drezner was in a different department.)
