I watched Landis's amazing comeback in my cabin on a cruise ship in the carribean. It was so amazing to me that I had to watch. It's a shame that it may be tarnished, but I'm not surprised.
My cynicism has more to do with the fact that I believe most elite athletes, not just cyclists, use banned substances.

Hmmm, I watched the Landis interview last night on Larry King - he seemed pretty calm, relaxed, and convincing - I am now swinging toward 'not guilty.'

What everyone's afraid to say is that there IS a French conspiracy. That's so clear to anyone involved in cycling. They are bitter and angry that they haven't produced any noteworthy cyclist in 20 years. They hate Armstrong for dominating their national sport and they did everything imaginable to try to disgrace him - including spitting on him during mountain stages.
It is more probable that the French contaminated Floyd's blood samples than saying that Floyd was stupid enough to dope when he knows full well that he'll be tested - and his 8 blood testing during the Tour shows that he was clean. No athelete in his right mind would take Testostrone just one time - that won't do anything to enhance his performance - so why take the risk when it's 100% guaranteed that he'll be tested. Floyd isn't stupid.
More probable reason was that the Tour organizers wanted to discredit Floyd and other top contenders so that they'd eliminate any strong riders and hopefully give their own French cyclist a better chance. But everyone's afraid to say this for fear of seeming un-PC. Screw that.
