Google released its latest project yesterday: free broadband.
My favorite question from the FAQs: "Can I use TiSP if my home uses a septic system?"
UPDATE: Google's attempt at humor was valiant, but this is knee-slappingly funny. So, does credit go to Eric Talley or Mary Dudziak?

I'm not seeing the joke here and you wouldn't either if you had come up with the TiSP "concept" a decade ago and Google ripped you off. Geesh.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I invented cherry 7up when I was 12 years old, and I get no royalties from that, either.

Google offering wireless broadband service isn't too surprising. I expected Google to make a move in ISP filed for a while, especially dedicated Internet access lines. Their recent acquisitions of dark fiber and Internet hosting start-ups is indication to that. This April fool joke might be just a hint of Google's more realistic plans for the near future!
