According to the NYT, one of those supposed advantages: "a prestigious brand name."

What pops to mind when you hear "AOL"? Is it positive? Prestige?

Point well taken. But no one should even remotely consider the NY Times to be a trustworthy source of views on commerce.

Oh, and I also think of primitive internet connections and slow dial-up.
