Temple University’s Department of Legal Studies at the Fox School of Business and Management is seeking to expand its program of law related courses involving business and public policy. This expansion will include law courses that focus on corporate governance, ethics, sustainability, the political and legislative process and regulatory compliance measures. The Department is seeking applicants for this full time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with a JD degree and at least 3 to 5 years of legal experience in the above areas. Also, an attorney who has a Ph.D., especially in a business discipline, is preferred. 

As a tenure track faculty member, the individual will be required to publish in top quality legal journals, so the candidate must have a proven record of research accomplishments.

The Business Law program in the College of Business is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position.  Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate or graduate business law courses.  Bloomsburg University is located in beautiful north central Pennsylvania approximately 50 miles southwest of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and 30 miles west of the Pocono Mountains.  There are 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students in four colleges:  Business, Education, Liberal Arts, and Science and Technology. Candidate should possess appropriate content background and teaching experience in business law and a commitment to excellence in teaching. A J.D. from an ABA accredited law school is required along with an excellent academic record and demonstrated potential for outstanding scholarship.  While the Department will consider candidates with expertise in any field of business law, its current priorities are in the areas of regulatory compliance, sustainability and ethics. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is required. Finalist(s) for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration, as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular, full-time faculty within the area or department conducting the search. Instructional delivery can occur through on-line, traditional, and alternative instructional methods and can occur on main campus or off site educational locations.  Voluntary summer contracts may be available.
