The internet left plenty of untapped ideas when the bubble popped. Based on recent conversations with students, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and others, I think we are likely to see something of a renaissance in internet startups over the next few years. For example, a local software engineer asked me last week if any local angel investors would be interested in businesses outside of biotech. He said he has at least five internet business ideas that could be up and running within six months.
Earlier today, I discovered a software company called Onfolio, which was just featured in the Boston Globe. Their software product is modest, but take the product tour to see why it would be useful. People writing software for web browsers ... am I in a time machine?
