Nano in the News
Posted by Gordon Smith

There is an interesting story about nanotechnology in the New York Times today. The featured companies are Nanosys, which is assembling a portfolio of nano inventions in Silicon Valley, and Nanofilm, which became profitable making a coating for LensCrafters. Interestingly, Nanosys is being financed by several high-profile venture capital firms, while Nanofilm is getting fuel from loans and strategic partnerships. According to Nanofilm's founder, Scott Rickert, the 20-year-old company is "on an exponential growth curve. We feel like it's our decade but it's on our schedule."
