I'd like to thank Christine and Gordon for inviting me to guest blog here for a while from the warm and (this month) wet end of the country. My past blogging activities have mainly been oriented to my classes, although I had a stint as a guest blogger at discourse.net recently. I'm planning to start a blog of my own when the new semester begins, focusing on legal harmonisation, particularly in the context of corporate and financial law. Two of my current projects are on the implications for financial regulation of the dramatic increase in information (and disinformation) that investors can acquire through the internet and on private rule-making for international financial markets. These are really quite separate projects, although they are linked by a concern for the interests of consumers of financial services.
