Auction IPOs in the News
Posted by Christine Hurt
The WSJ has an article today on the Morningstar IPO and IPO auctions in general. Morningstar went public in May using the Hambrecht OpenIPO platform. Morningstar's journey to Hambrecht began with Morgan Stanley, and the discussions that caused Morningstar to choose Hambrecht over MS is chronicled in the article. Morningstar is up about 50% from the IPO.
Coincidentally my article What Google Can't Tell Us About Internet Auctions (and What It Can) is now available on SSRN.
