March Madness: Fleischer (UCLA) vs. Hurt (Marquette)
Posted by Victor Fleischer

I'm mired in the quagmire of subchapter K (that's partnership tax to all you taxophobes out there), working through my "Two and Twenty" paper on the taxation of private equity fund managers.  But I'm never too busy to fill out my brackets.  UCLA couldn't have asked for a better bracket.  And I especially like the second round, where we should face off against Marquette.  If that goes well, we'll face Indana (after they upset overrated Gonzaga), and then Kansas (after they upset Memphis).   UCLA in the final four.  Or at least that's what my barber tells me.

This webpage claims March Madness costs us $3.8 Billion in lost productivity at work every year.  Is it worth it?  You bet.  That's what, $25 per American worker?  Big deal.  Imagine how much Suduko costs us.
