Richard Nagareda, RIP

I am shocked to learn of the death of Richard Nagareda. The announcement from Vanderbilt is short on details: "Richard Nagareda, the David Daniels Allen Professor of Law and director of the Cecil D. Branstetter Litigation and Dispute Resolution Program, died at his home on Friday, October 8."
Richard graduated two years ahead of me at Chicago, and our paths crossed at various times over the years. When I visited at Vanderbilt, his office was right next to mine, and he was always generous with his limited time and substantial wisdom.
I will miss him.
